Now in its 12th year, The Jibfest Weekender brings music and outdoor enthusiasts together through 3 days of entertainment. The inaugural and sophomore editions featured Newfoundland artists before the event graduated into showcasing national and international acts. The Jibfest Weekender has been growing annually bringing in fans from around Atlantic Canada with audiences upwards of 2000 people. Previously featured performances include Newfoundland Artists: Soap Opera, Ife Alaba, Dave Whitty, and Rum Ragged. Atlantic Canadian Artists: The Trews, Neon Dreams, Famba, Rich Aucoin, and Skratch Bastid. International Artists: Sammy Adams, 4Korners, Jump Smokers, and Keys n Krates.”

Laugh It Off Comedy Show

We are capping off an action packed Jibfest weekend with our annual comedy show featuring Marito Lopez, one of Canada’s top headliners all the way from Vancouver. Originally from El Salvador, he is one of North America’s most unique Latinx performers. He has performed at the famous Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. He has been featured on Kevin Hart’s LOL Network, Rick Mercer’s Comedy Night In Canada, CBC’s New Wave Of StandUp, and The Winnipeg  Comedy Festival.

The event is hosted by Calgary’s Brittany Lyseng and features Newfoundland’s own Bree Parsons, fresh off her appearance at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.
